چکیده

The aim of the conducted experiments was to determine effect selected machining parameters on power consumption and surface quality obtained during milling beech wood using a computerized numerical control woodworking machine. Surface roughness tested contact measurement method, while Ra Rz were recorded cutting energy determined. Tests for two variants speed (7.5 15 m·s-1) as well three chip thickness (0.10, 0.06, 0.02 mm); additionally, tests examined different cross-sections wood. It found that greater feed caused an increase in power. In turn, had no roughness, whereas its resulted increased at radial tangential comparable, it transverse cross-section. also lowest cross-section, greatest

The Effect of Power and Maximum Cutting Speed on the Material Removal Rate and Cutting Volume Efficiency in CO2 Laser Cutting of Polycarbonate Sheets

In the laser cutting process some well-known parameters, e.g. laser power and cutting speed, play major roles in the performance of the process. Each parameter or a combination of parameters can affect the material removal volume and cutting volume efficiency. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of power and maximum cutting speed on the material removal rate (MRR) and cutting vo...

Transmitted vibrations to the wrist and arm of a chainsaw operator: The effect of wood cutting process

Introduction: Due to the non-developed mechanization situation, chainsaw is a widely used tool in Iranian forests. This tool can trigger unwelcome disorders (e.g., white finger syndrome) due to the transmitted vibrations from its handle to the body members. Characterizing these vibrations can result in minimizing the intensity of these disorders. This study aims to investigate the effect of dif...
